Some Hunters consider this a mark of pride or honor. More than likely, though, he just didn't know any better.<br /><br />Also, assuming they haven't patched this functionality away, for the vast majority of pets, the easiest way to tame them is to bring a mage. Simply have the mage polymorph your target and then tame the harmless sheep. Voila! Instant pet.<br /><br />Glad you had fun, though. Taming hard-to-get pets is one of the funnest parts of being a Hunter.
