Into the Cataclysm...
Ahh, twitter.

Yesterday I entered a contest via twitter for a beta key... and Light Above and Below - I WON!

So, now I have a beta key, but I'm waiting for battle.net to update with the info so I can start the long and arduous process. But I'm already planning ahead.

Derevka from Tales of a Priest has been an awesome resource for beta news, and I'd like to provide good information as well! So I'm asking you, readers:

What do you want me to explore in Cataclysm?

What questions do you have? What is it you want to know? Do you want to hear about the new classes? Are you interested in how leveling will be in the Old World? Want to know what things have changed? Want to know how the mana and health pool changes will affect priest healing? There are lots of bloggers who are in the beta and testing things out - is there a specific issue or question that you've had that no one has answered or tested for you?

Your wish is my command. CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE, FOLKS.

Mana regeneration (or mana conservation), new talents like Chakra, the Archangel/Dark Archangel look very interesting and I think all priest would like to know if they modify a lot the playstyle (something Blizzard has announced several times). Also the "I got some spare time to dps since nobody's going to die soon" and the mana regeneration via dps.
If you had a pally, the Holy Power mechanic is my main concern right now for that class.

  2. @Kurnak

Actually, I *do* have a level 80 Paladin, but I'm not very good at playing it. I might try that out though :D

  3. Gameldar Says:

Yay - more people I might happen across on there... now if only they'd sort out the character copy I'd be a happy beta tester. But I've only just begun the process too!

Anyway if you need a tank and you're on in the odd hours look me up :)

    @ Miss Medicina

    Thanks for telling me :-P

    Two things:

    - Yes please on the Holy Power!
    - Healthpools for lvl 85 tanks. I MUST KNOW! Doesn't large healthpools for tanks help healers ;-)

Prod me on twitter when you get online and such if you'd like an invite to the guild we've got going on Lost Isles (US/PVE/Alliance). We're level 5 at the moment, so extra XP, extra rep, extra mount speed... :)

Kurnak, Fuubaar, I'm happy to answer questions about Holy Power as I'm primarily playing my pally on beta. :)

  6. Kurnak Says:

If you can give the pally a shoot that would be very sweet Jess.
Since it's the class it has changed the most we're going to need some time gettng used to the new playstyle and getting rid of old habits.
Anyway the priest also got a good revampand since it's your main all feedback will be very welcomed, specially on the disc spec.

  7. Calandris Says:

Tales of a priest did some commentary on holy but we are missing how disc plays out.

  8. Gronthe Says:

Disc healing, how Archangel works out too would be very interesting. Also, I'd like to know from a healing standpoint, how important it may be for dps classes to consider their own survivability talents/tools in group setting, or of healers won't really care much.

  9. Anonymous Says:

Disc talents please, how they feel for both leveling and 5 mans.

  10. Anonymous Says:

Mana regen, although that will be hard to figure out as I doubt you'll be raiding in beta.

How's the new PW:B work? Is it any good?

A clear and simple explaination of how Archangel and chakra work, perhaps with a couple of basic examples of how you think they might be useful.

The most noticable differences when you first start healing in the beta.

Don;t forget to have some fun in there too ;-)

    Gobble gobble.

    Disc healing, Lifegrip...

And are there still Dalaran mobs in Amberpine and is the chicken-seller still at the racetrack in Shimmering Flats?

  12. Anonymous Says:

    Dicipline!

I've hardly been able to find anything about the state of Disc in Cataclysm. Specifically, healing in groups.
